Objective: development of a reduced-scale plant producing energy from renewable sources – wind and solar panels, generating power and heat for a micro-unit or a residential buildings.
•from market point of view: a marketable product (reduced-scale plant) providing the energetic independence of a micro-unit or a residential building.
•from technical point of view: interfacing modules, since up to present, unit modules have been designed and developed but have not yet been built into such a plant with a high degree of complexity and relatively high generated power
The reduced-scale power plant is composed of a module of photovoltaic panels and a wind/aeolian generator. The photovoltaic panels supply power to a hydrogen generator which further supplies the fuel cell unit capable of generating power of about 5 kW.
An automated system will stand as the interface of the power producing systems: the photovoltaic panel, the wind generator and the hydrogen generator.
The amount of hydrogen in low load rate will be stored in cylinders for its use at night or in cases when the wind generator does not operate at its full capacity. Likewise, a heat power co-generating system will be developed, which system will use hot water supplied from the fuel cell unit at a temperature of about 80 degrees Celsius.
Thus it is identified a solution to the problem of lowering costs for the supplied power sources by envisaging the generation and cogeneration, therefore the increase in the overall efficiency of the plant.

•Elaboration of a study on the current condition of plants producing electricity from renewable sources at national level
•Designing of reduced-scale plant producing power from renewable sources (wind generator, photovoltaic panel, hydrogen generator and interfacing module, energetic management)
•Designing of reduced-scale plant producing energy from renewable sources (driving module for hydrogen storage, fuel cell unit).
•Designing of the electric generation and installation control system.
•Development of the reduced-scale plant for energy production using renewable sources for micro-units and residential buildings.
•Performance determinations for the reduced-scale power plant. Dissemination of results. Energetic balance.
